About the Company

Sickle Cell Disease Enhanced Care Management, LLC (SCDECM), a subsidiary of the Center for Inherited Blood Disorders, connects individuals living with sickle cell disease (SCD) to comprehensive Enhanced Care Management (ECM) services. Through partnerships between community health workers and clinical teams that specialize in the care of persons with SCD, SCDECM ensures patients receive coordinated, wrap-around support that addresses both medical and social determinants of health. As a subsidiary of the Center for Comprehensive Care and Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), SCDECM extends CIBD's mission by bridging the gap between clinical treatment and community-based care coordination, facilitating continuity of care.


Job Summary

The Program Coordinator reports directly to CIBD's Director of Grants, provides administrative support and coordinates managed care plan applications, program operations, and the credentialing process.


Essential Duties

  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate and organized program records and documentation; Coordinate scheduling for program activities, meetings, and appointments; Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed; Manage program databases and ensure data integrity; Support communication between team members, healthcare providers, and stakeholders; Assist with general office operations and administrative tasks.

  • Managed Care Plan Applications & Credentialing: Complete and submit applications for enrollment with managed care plans; Gather and organize required documentation for credentialing processes; Track application status and follow up with managed care organizations; Maintain credentialing files and ensure compliance with renewal deadlines; Coordinate with providers and administrative staff to obtain necessary credentials; Stay current on managed care plan requirements and credentialing standards; Prepare and submit re-credentialing applications in a timely manner.

  • Program Coordination: Coordinate team meetings, training sessions, and program-related events; Manage program communications and serve as a point of contact for inquiries; Support onboarding and training of new care coordination staff; Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and procurement activities; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, billing, and compliance departments; Support care coordination activities for program participants; Help identify and address barriers to care access; Contribute to quality improvement efforts.


Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in healthcare administration, public health, social services, or related field.

  • Minimum 2+ years of administrative or healthcare coordination experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social services, or related field.

  • Familiarity with healthcare documentation and compliance requirements.

  • Knowledge of sickle cell disease or chronic disease management.


Licensure/Certification

  • Basic Life Support (or obtain within first three months of hire).

About the Organization

The Center for Comprehensive Care & Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is committed to providing comprehensive care for patients and their families with rare, chronic inherited blood disorders. CIBD is a part of a nationwide network of over 140 Hemophilia Treatment Centers that use multidisciplinary teams of blood disorder specialists to provide expert comprehensive diagnosis, medical care, outreach, education, outcomes monitoring, surveillance, and prevention services to people with hemophilia, Sickle-Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, Von Willebrand Disease, and other related hematology conditions. CIBD is the regional grantee for the Western States Region/Region IX providing regional leadership, fiscal and administrative oversight, grants management, capacity building, clinical education, technical assistance, evaluation, and outreach to public and private health agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
