Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 0730-1600,0800-1630,0830-1700

Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:

Coordinates clinical care of the bariatric surgery patient. Develop and delivers education to internal and external customers. Performs daily administrative oversight of the program. Monitors quality data collection, analysis and reporting process and identifies areas for improvement. Provides communication between team members and patients. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Valid Ohio RN licensure. American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Certified Bariatric Nurse (ASMBS CBN) or obtains within 12 months of hire. Two years recent clinical experience with bariatric population in a medical/surgical setting or ambulatory surgery setting. Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality. Ability to initiate projects and carry out day-to-day operations with a minimum amount of supervision. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates strong analytical, data management, and computer skills. Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Preferred: Master's Degree. Prior Bariatric Surgery Coordinator experience. Knowledge of EPIC functionality. Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals.
