Job description

What's the opportunity?

We're looking for an analytical, organized, and execution-oriented Sales Operations Manager to join our Revenue Operations team. Our mission is to empower Intercom's go-to-market teams with the systems, insights, and processes that drive predictable revenue growth and exceptional customer experiences.

In this role, you'll serve as the operational partner to our Sales Development organization, helping ensure our SDR teams have the tools, processes, and reporting they need to execute effectively every day. You'll support the operational rhythms of the business by maintaining key processes, monitoring performance, resolving operational issues, and partnering cross-functionally to continuously improve how our Sales Development organization operates.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving processes, and working closely with Sales leaders to drive efficiency at scale.

What will I be doing?
  • Sales Development Operations: Support the day-to-day operational needs of the Sales Development organization, helping ensure SDRs have the systems, processes, and reporting needed to execute efficiently.
  • Process Execution & Optimization: Maintain and improve operational processes including lead management, routing, top-of-funnel reporting, territory support, and operational workflows. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve the seller experience.
  • Operational Reporting & Insights: Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and recurring business metrics that provide visibility into pipeline generation, activity, conversion rates, and overall Sales Development performance.
  • Project Execution: Partner with senior members of Revenue Operations to execute operational initiatives, system enhancements, process improvements, and cross-functional projects that support the Sales Development organization - especially implementing and optimizing third-party tools like Outreach and Nooks
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Work closely with Sales Development leaders, Business Systems, Sales Enablement, Marketing Operations, and Customer Success to resolve operational issues, support new initiatives, and ensure consistent execution across teams.
  • Operational Excellence & AI: Maintain high standards for documentation, process governance, and operational quality while identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve team efficiency.
What skills do I need?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or a related field, ideally within a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Experience supporting sales teams through reporting, process management, and operational execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Salesforce, Excel/Google Sheets, and reporting tools to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to continuously improve operational processes.

The base salary range for candidates within the Greater Chicago Area is $115,800 - $138,350. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).ย ย
