Production Planner 

Location: Grand Prairie, TX (On-Site)

This role requires daily on-site presence at the facility to support real-time production planning, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.

Hours: 8 am - 5 pm

Pay Range: $50,000 – $55,000 (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-driven and operations-focused Production Planner to join our team. This role is designed for someone who excels at managing workflows, coordinating production activities, and ensuring operational efficiency—while also supporting customer and sales functions.
This position leans heavily toward operations and project execution, with an emphasis on production coordination, process management, and data accuracy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Planning & Order Management (Primary Focus)
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage customer orders and production workflows from entry through delivery and billing.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer demand, capacity, and timelines.
  • Review and process orders, ensuring accuracy in pricing, terms, and requirements.
  • Track order and project progress, ensuring deadlines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain accurate work-in-progress (WIP) tracking and support timely billing and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate closely with production, sales, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery.
  • Maintain accurate data across internal systems to support planning and reporting.
  • Support quoting and pricing activities as needed to align planning with customer requirements.
Operational Communication & Execution
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between customers, production, sales, and internal departments.
  • Provide timely updates on order status, production schedules, risks, and delays.
  • Resolve discrepancies, customer concerns, and operational issues efficiently.
  • Ensure all documentation and communication are accurate, complete, and aligned across teams.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
  • Analyze workflows, production data, and order trends to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.
  • Generate and review operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Support inventory reconciliation and operational audits.
  • Contribute to process improvements focused on scalability, accuracy, and throughput.
QualificationsEducation
  • College diploma or coursework in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, project coordination, production planning, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in packaging or consumer goods industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or inventory management systems required.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong operational mindset with focus on process efficiency and execution.
  • Advanced organizational and multitasking skills.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Self-starter with strong accountability and follow-through.
  • Experience with project management or collaboration tools is a plus.
Language
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Spanish is a plus.
