Summary

We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Projects, Planner. The Operations Projects, Planner reports to our Operations team and is responsible for developing, maintaining and communicating projects schedules.

The position can be assigned to one or multiple facilities as well as specific initiatives for business studies or process development responsibilities. This position is located in Cameron, LA.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead planning exercises, prepare, and maintain project schedules for Operations
  • Ensure the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support project controls activities
  • Assists operations team in resolution of issues involving cost, schedule, and changes
  • Establishes and maintains a standard reporting format for management reports
  • Review schedules to ensure that the appropriate level of details and structure are applied and effective progress monitoring
  • Ensure schedules generated for a project are fully integrated and resource-loaded in order to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure compliance of industry procedures and practices
  • Set up, implement, and maintain schedule related key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Obtains data on progress, logic, and manpower from operations/plant personnel
  • Conduct schedule review meetings and assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to operational plans and communicate any deviations of current plan

Qualifications

Required experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent experience in LNG project engineering and/or construction industry
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated success in proactively improving processes and systems
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies.
  • Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Project and PowerPoint
  • Specific expertise with Microsoft Project
