Job Description Our client is a leading provider of natural gas compression equipment and aftermarket services supporting customers across the oil & gas, power generation, transportation, and marine industries. With a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence and a global service footprint, they are seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day activities of a repair and manufacturing facility in the Huntington, WV area. Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.

Communicate business objectives, operational priorities, and performance expectations to team members. Ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and security of facility assets, equipment, and personnel.

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Develop, implement, and improve operational procedures and systems to support safe and efficient shop performance. Manage annual operating budgets and monitor expenditures to achieve financial objectives.

Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate shop personnel while fostering employee development and accountability. Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities related to maintenance and repair projects. Manage customer orders from proposal development through project execution, including risk assessment, pricing, negotiations, specification compliance, and issue resolution.

Partner with sales and commercial teams to develop customer-focused solutions and growth strategies. Drive performance against revenue, profitability, utilization, and operational targets. Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence efforts.

Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a support, field engineering, operations, maintenance, or related industrial environment.

At least 3 years of leadership or management experience. Experience in machine shop operations, repair facilities, manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial operations management. Industrial, utility, power generation, or rotating equipment experience is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of shop operations, workforce management, budgeting, and project execution. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to influence teams, develop employees, and drive performance. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate industrial work environments as required. #OFI
