Job description

The Sitka Campus Business and Operations Manager provides fiscal oversight, administrative management and strategic leadership for the University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) Sitka Campus. This position is responsible for ensuring fiscal compliance, optimizing day-to-day business functions, and supervising business services and campus facilities staff. Serving as a key advisor to the Campus Director, the Manager aligns resources and operations with strategic priorities and assumes campus leadership during the Director's absence.
To excel in this role, you will bring a proven ability to supervise and lead teams effectively, backed by solid experience with budget development and management of restricted and unrestricted funds. You should possess a deep knowledge of rules and regulations associated with fiscal activities and grant processes, alongside the ability to use system enterprise and workplace productivity applications to optimize daily workflows. An astute ability to analyze complex situations and propose viable solutions and courses of action will be critical for navigating organizational challenges. Additionally, your knowledge of strategic, short- and long-range planning processes will help shape the future direction of campus operations and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field and five years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Sitka campus of the University of Southeast. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 81, based on education and experience.
