POSITION TITLE: Operations Director
CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT
STATUS: FULL TIME
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is under the direct supervision of the General Manager and is responsible for the daily operation of the casino, including gaming operations, Cage Cashier, Security, EVS, and Guest Service while ensuring compliance and profitability.
MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Direct daily casino operations.
• Oversee Slots, Cage, Security, Food & Beverage, and EVS/Facilities.
• Manage labor budgets, scheduling, and productivity.
• Serve as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
• Resolve guest concerns and oversee incident response.
• Coach department managers and conduct performance evaluations.
• Support budgeting and operational planning.
• Assisting with the building of departmental SOP's
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Participate in leadership meetings.
• Assist with special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
This position includes but is not limited to the job functions listed above.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid driver's license
• Must have five (5) years of progressive casino leadership
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
• Must possess high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Tribal gaming regulations, internal controls, MICS, BSA, and applicable laws
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:
• Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
• Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act, and Privacy Act.
