Operations Manager

Full Time Campbell, CA, US

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Campbell, CA

Job Overview: The Operations Manager supports the Campbell office's advisors by ensuring the smooth execution of daily trading-related workflows, account monitoring, and reporting. This is primarily an operational role and does not directly execute trades. The position works closely with advisors and the outsourced trading team to help ensure accounts remain aligned with established targets, tolerances, and cash requirements. Limited investment research may be needed when client questions arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run and review reports in Orion to confirm trading-related workflows areproceedingas expected.
  • Review cash and investment levels,identifyaccounts outside established tolerances, and monitor gains budgets and cash reserves against defined parameters.
  • Analyze Orion data exports and reconcile information across Excel workbooks and data sources.
  • Understand the purpose and rationale behind trades and portfolio actions while coordinating with the outsourced trading team.
  • Work directly with advisors who communicate with clients. This is primarily a back-office role with limited participation in client meetings and no responsibility for making recommendations directly to clients.
  • Independently research solutions using Orion help resources, trial and error, and tools such as Copilot to build macros and streamline Excel workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with trading or investments is strongly preferred. Prior experience as a trader or as an analyst supporting a trader is beneficial.
  • Ability to understand the components and rationale involved in trading and portfolio actions, even though this role does not directly execute trades.
  • Advanced Excelproficiency, including experience reconciling and linking data across multiple spreadsheets and data sources using logical matching techniques and supporting calculations.
  • Experience creating macros; Copilot-assisted macro development is welcomed.
  • Familiarity with asset allocation, account-level targeting, and tax-aware asset placement.
  • Ability to work accurately in a detail-oriented environment where small errors may have significant financial implications.
  • Direct Orion experience is preferred; familiarity with other portfolio management or rebalancing platforms is also valuable.
