Description
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading airport ground handling operations, including Passenger Service, Ramp Operations, into-plane and third-party fueling, ground support equipment (GSE), and aircraft ground handling. This position provides operational leadership while maintaining accountability for safety, staffing, resource allocation, customer relations, financial performance, and operational standards.
The Operations Manager will oversee operations and special-services personnel, manage resources according to customer requirements and budget targets, and ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, health and safety requirements, and airport operating standards. This position reports directly to the General Manager.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Aviation FBO management experience
  • Minimum 10 years of business experience resulting in full P&L responsibility for a business or significant financial responsibility for a functional area
  • Management experience within airport ground handling operations
  • Experience managing Passenger Service and Ramp Operations
  • Experience with into-plane and third-party aircraft fueling operations
  • Aircraft ground-handling experience
  • Knowledge of narrow-body and wide-body aircraft operations
  • Proven experience managing an aviation business unit or comparable operation
  • Experience with budgeting, financial management, and operational cost control
  • P&L management experience
  • Experience with operational planning and resource allocation
  • Working knowledge of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and related maintenance issues
