Position Summary:
If you are friendly, highly motivated, and passionate about leading a team and helping grow our Car Wash Business we invite you to come and Grow With Us! The Car Wash Manager is responsible for managing and operating a Tunnel Car Wash with annual revenues of $600k - $1.5M. You will be responsible for overseeing a staff of 6-8 Car Wash associates and ensuring the daily car wash operation runs efficiently while maintaining high standards to the overall appearance and cleanliness of the car wash property. You will report directly to the Site Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
  1. Manage day to day operations and communicates effectively with the Site Operations Manager
  2. Driving Club memberships that will help drive sales and profitability
  3. Effective P&L management through monitoring of chemicals, utilities, and other expenditure
  4. Demonstrate leadership attributes to include, building and maintaining trust with the Car Wash team by setting clear and measurable goals, holding self and team accountable, and communicating frequently and effectively.
  5. Build and develop a strong team by interviewing & hiring new team members, training, scheduling, coaching, offering timely feedback on performance
  6. Manages team performance by providing feedback, coaching, delegation and direction and executing all progressive disciplinary actions per company policy, including terminations and annual reviews
  7. Lead a team of Car Wash associates in a fair, consistent, impartial and timely manner, supporting and enforcing all State & Federal laws along with Company policies and procedures
  8. Achieve operational excellence, develop performance goals aligned with the Company's Operational objectives, hit financial goals (Sales/expenses to budget, net profit)
  9. Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the car wash by performing and delegating the cleaning of facility, equipment room, exterior grounds and vacuum area and ensures everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized
  10. Ensures all equipment (Payment stations, wash equipment, power washer, vacuums) are kept operational. When an issue does arise they are able to resolve the issue or submit a Service Channel ticket
  11. Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated and provides assistance, when needed, in any area concerning car wash process or at the vacuums
  12. Handles customer complaints, employee conflicts and daily operational problems in an even-tempered, fair and consistent manner
  13. Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  14. Training of any new Car Wash associates
  15. Assist Site Operations Manager in-store with any duties needed when the Car Wash is closed or during slow business times due to poor weather

Working Relationships: Site Operations Manager, Store Manager, Car Wash Program Manager, District Manager, Store team members, Company personnel, and various vendors.

Minimum Education: N/A
Preferred Education: High School or GED
Minimum Experience: 6-12 months car wash
Preferred Experience: Prior Car Wash Supervisor/Manager experience preferred

Hours & Conditions:
Scheduling: This position is Full-time and involves working a variety of hours, day and night, as Kwik Shop Car Wash and retail locations can be open 24 hours depending on the store. Weekend & Holiday hours are required.
Travel: 5% - to cover other locations as need
Hours & Conditions:Full time (48 hours)
Other: Specialized work attire requirements
Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; ability to lift 40 lbs, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip and work in cooler (cold temperatures).
