Position Overview

Project Engineering Manager (PEM) to support Nuclear Generating Stations on site in the Cleveland, OH area. The successful candidate will manage the engineering and design efforts to modify and upgrade existing nuclear power plants, including general plant upgrades, component replacements, and electric power uprates (EPU).

What You'll Do Here
  • Provide engineering management and guidance to subordinate staff and enforce company and project policies.
  • Plan and manage work activities to ensure successful project execution while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Demonstrate and provide project leadership in the area of responsibility under the supervision of a Project Manager.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks among a multidisciplinary project staff.
  • Monitor day‑to‑day activities and proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze issues, develop alternatives, and determine the most optimal approach.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of resources and capabilities of other groups for appropriate incorporation into project organization.
  • Understand scope of work and contract requirements as related to the area of responsibility.
  • Serve as the responsible professional engineer (PE) in the state where the work is based.
  • Actively manage the engineering schedule and cost performance.
  • Support or conduct formal status reporting and presentations to client and/or management.
What You Bring To The Team
  • B.S. Engineering Degree from an accredited university in an Engineering Discipline.
  • Ability to manage the engineering elements of a large and complex Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) project.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in any State with ability to be licensed in other States by Comity.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience working with nuclear plant engineering and design.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership position or supervisory capacity.
  • Takes ownership of engineering work performed on a project.
  • Experience working with others in a Project Team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multi‑tasked environment.
  • Basic understanding of project performance metrics (PI and SPI).
  • Experience with electric power uprates is preferred.
  • Field experience and ability to perform site walk‑downs.
Salary Range & Benefits
  • Pay Range: $160,000 - $200,000 per year.
  • Individual pay is determined based on factors such as work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
