Job description

DEPARTMENT: Loan

CLASSIFICATION: Non - Exempt

REPORTS TO: Loan Operations Manager

SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibility

SUMMARY: Responsible for the processing, administration, and structure of commercial loans.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the processing and administration of commercial loans.
  • Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation. Ensures that loan files contain documents and with proper signature, dates, and other relevant data.
  • Responsible for properly securing loan collateral. Filing mortgages on commercial real estate, UCC searches, and filing proper UCC searches.
  • Works with chief loan officer to hold lenders accountable to policy and procedure by identifying, reporting, and delaying loan closings due to exceptions to policy.
  • Works through paid out loans, release of collateral, and clean-up of loan files.
  • Maintains quality control of loan documents, loan files, and loan systems.
  • Answers customer questions and resolves routine problems with inquiries regarding payoffs, changes of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.
  • Updates QM procedures annually.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or three to five years of commercial loan experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge of bank loan policies and procedures.
  • Experience in Banking regulation and/or industries in which the bank engages in loan activity.
  • Knowledge of Fiserv, Laser Pro, and other bank specific software.
  • Fluency in computer applications and Microsoft Office Environment.
