Position Overview:
The Construction Management Summer Intern will assist the project management team with the daily operations of construction projects, providing support in project coordination, site inspections, documentation, and administrative tasks. This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience, providing exposure to construction processes, safety protocols, cost estimation, project scheduling, and much more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers and site supervisors with day-to-day project tasks
  • Participate in site visits and inspections, observing construction progress and ensuring compliance with safety standards
  • Help with project documentation, including filing, reports, submittals and permits
  • Collaborate with team members on scheduling, cost tracking, and material management
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Monitor the construction site for safety hazards and report concerns to supervisors
  • Support in tracking project timelines and deliverables, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining project schedules, plans, and progress reports
  • Assist in preparing meetings, site walks, and client presentations

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Strong interest in the construction industry and project management
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute effectively to group projects
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Familiarity with construction terminology and processes is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Previous internship or experience in construction is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam
