About the Role
The Grasso Companies is seeking a high-level Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for complex civil and site development projects throughout the Fairfield County area based out of Stamford, Connecticut.

This role is for an experienced field leader who knows how to run jobs, manage crews and subcontractors, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong experience in sitework, excavation, utilities, grading, and heavy civil construction and can take full ownership of the jobsite.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all field operations from mobilization through project completion
  • Manage subcontractors, foremen, and field crews on active projects
  • Coordinate project schedule, manpower, equipment, and materials
  • Read and execute construction plans, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Maintain strict safety standards and enforce OSHA compliance
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Identify and solve field challenges before they impact production
  • Conduct daily site meetings and maintain accurate jobsite documentation
  • Ensure quality control and proper sequencing of all sitework activities

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience running construction jobsites
  • Strong background in civil/site development, excavation, utilities, drainage, grading, and paving
  • Ability to manage multiple trades and coordinate complex schedules
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read plans and identify potential issues before work begins
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
