Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Planner Location: Bethlehem, PA Hours / Schedule: 2-2-3 7a to 3:30p 30 minute unpaid lunch Type: Contract Compensation: $35-40/hour

Overview Pharmaceutical Company in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support the improvement of productivity and quality, including shutdown planning (planned equipment / line stoppages for maintenance and upgrades) for an active plant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed job plans, scope estimates, and labor/material requirements to ensure efficient maintenance operations
  • Create task instructions, preventative maintenance procedures, and work orders in coordination with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
  • Schedule and coordinate major and minor plant shutdowns, including shutdown planning and execution
  • Maintain records, input invoices, manage EAM data, and track BOMs and spare parts
  • Support budgeting, perform cost analysis, and update work orders based on field feedback
  • Order, receive, store, and track materials and parts, and assist technicians with parts sourcing
  • Manage inventory discrepancies and support shutdown backlog management
  • Operate forklift and follow OSHA and GMP requirements at all times
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Planner
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical background
  • Experience in regulated environments (GMP preferred)
  • Experience with plant shutdowns and CMMS/EAM systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of liquid gas, gauges, hydraulic systems is preferred
  • Technical school or apprenticeship background is a plus
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communicator who can work across teams
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to write clear work instructions
