Job Summary

This role is an entry-level position within the Trade Operations team at Arch Investment Management (AIM), reporting to the VP, Operations Manager. The Investment Trade Operations Analyst will support the daily operational activities required to ensure accurate and timely processing of investment transactions across AIM portfolios.

The Analyst will work closely with internal teams (portfolio management, legal/compliance, performance) and external service providers (custodians, brokers, administrators) to learn and assist in delivering effective operational support to the firm.

This position is well-suited for a recent graduate with an interest in investment operations and financial markets who is eager to build foundational knowledge across both traditional and alternative asset classes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily dashboard monitoring of trades and settlements for all portfolios- Investigate and resolve all trade breaks, fails or issues; coordinate with trading, custodian, accounting and risk service providers to resolve outstanding issues

  • Interact with the custodian and executing brokers to resolve trade breaks

  • Address and rectify exceptions between third party service providers

  • Coordinate processing of securities transfers; receive and monitor requests; support portfolio management in security selection as needed; communicate with entity representatives and ensure proper transactions have been completed

  • Notify portfolio managers and process voluntary corporate actions

  • Work on ad-hoc projects, contribute ideas and recommendations to improve process efficiencies and increase risk mitigation

  • Create and deliver on metrics reporting
