Familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, project management tools, and basic data analysis systems is usually expected. Join us this summer to gain hands-on experience in the engine room of a global travel technology company. At arrivia, our IT Operations internship is designed to give you real-world exposure to enterprise systems, moving beyond classroom theory into active technical support and engineering projects.

You will work directly under the Director of Systems Engineering and alongside our Technical Project Managers and Microsoft 365 Engineers. This is an immersive role where you will see how a global infrastructure is maintained, secured, and scaled.

The Intern Experience

  • Executive & Director Mentorship: Learn directly from our Director of Systems Engineering and EVP of Technology Operations through regular sit-downs and project reviews.
  • Collaborative Technical Environment: Work side-by-side with Level 1 and Level 2 M365 Engineers and Help Desk professionals to solve live technical challenges.
  • Professional Outings: Build a network with your fellow interns through organized team-building events and social outings in Scottsdale.

Key Projects & Responsibilities

  • M365 & Systems Support: Assist our engineering team with Microsoft 365 environment management, including user access and identity support.
  • IT Operations & Help Desk: Work alongside our support teams to research, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues for our global staff.
  • Security & Efficiency Audits: Collaborate across departments to assess system security and identify ways to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Technical Documentation: Help organize and update internal technical guides and process documentation to support our scaling infrastructure.
  • Research & Problem Solving: Assist in researching new tools or configurations to solve specific infrastructure challenges.

  • Technical Curiosity: A passion for troubleshooting and a genuine interest in how enterprise IT operations function.
  • AI Literacy: Comfort using generative AI tools (like Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude) to assist with technical troubleshooting, script drafting (PowerShell/Python), or documentation.
  • Foundational Knowledge: Basic familiarity with Windows/Linux environments, Microsoft 365, or cloud fundamentals (Azure) is preferred.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, as you will be collaborating with various technical and non-technical team members.
