The Operations Manager III will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the transportation and logistics department. This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective transportation and logistics processes are in place.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met
  • Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services
  • Monitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Conduct regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities to management
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation and logistics operations

Educational background / Work experience
  • A bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation and logistics management is required. Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $100,400.00 - 150,600.00 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
