Job description

To thrive as a company and meet our impact goals, we must cultivate a culture of high-performance. You can read about our culture principles here.
We know managers are often the single-largest driver of employee satisfaction and growth, and our talent is our biggest asset. Because of that, we've identified consistent expectations for all of Guild's people managers - helping you know what to expect from your experience here.
If you are an Internal Candidate, please apply via our Internal Job Board.
Guild is hiring a Senior Manager, Operations Excellence.
The Operations Excellence team exists to lead high-impact, large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that enhance Guild's operational efficiency and effectiveness. We do this by transforming the way Guild works - through process (re)engineering, system creation, organizational design consultation, and increasingly, AI-enabled solutions. In this role, you will lead a team of operations professionals, own a portfolio of high-impact initiatives end-to-end, and drive measurable outcomes across the organization. You are both a player and a coach: directly accountable for the outcomes of your team's work while developing the people who deliver it.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, setting clear direction, managing priorities across the team's portfolio, and creating an environment where people do their best work
  • Execute against team priorities set in partnership with the Director, managing your team's workload and sequencing to deliver on commitments
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and curiosity - especially around emerging tools and ways of working

Operational Ownership
  • Own a portfolio of operational excellence initiatives end-to-end, from intake and scoping through execution, enablement, and sustainable handoff
  • Shape and refine the team's approach to intake and prioritization in partnership with the Director, ensuring the framework is consistently applied and improved across the team
  • Craft compelling business cases, define success metrics, and translate strategy into executable plans
  • Drive measurable business outcomes, using data and analysis to assess performance, refine approaches, and inform what to work on next
  • Maintain a high bar for quality and rigor across the team's portfolio - from root cause analysis and problem definition through to final deliverables and handoffs
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships across the portfolio, proactively surfacing progress, tradeoffs, and risks to ensure alignment as work evolves
  • Apply a systems-thinking lens to the team's work, ensuring proposed solutions account for downstream impacts across the organization before moving into design and build

Strategic & Technical Thinking
  • Actively leverage AI tools, automation, and modern workflow capabilities to improve how the team operates and delivers work
  • Stay ahead of the curve on emerging tools and approaches relevant to operations strategy, bringing new capabilities to the team and modeling a innovation-forward mindset
  • Influence the operational strategy for AI-enabled tools or capabilities within the team's portfolio, ensuring strong performance, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement over time

Additional Information
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and a demonstrated curiosity about how technology is reshaping operations work
  • Prior people management experience strongly preferred
  • Please note that this role is hybrid 3 days per week in our Denver office

This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $109,600 - $159,100 and stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
Posting Date: June 25th, 2026
