Job description

The position serves as the Director of Financial Operations, in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). The incumbent reports directly to the CFO and is the senior official responsible for directing and sustaining the Agency's core financial operations.Qualifications:Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the GS-14 or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and includes all of the following:
  • Applying financial management laws, representing the organization to resolve complex issues, and serving as a technical expert to assess program quality and recommend process improvements;
  • Supervising or managing a financial management operation, including accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, financial systems management, and audit support activities;
  • Directs the development, implementation, and oversight of financial management policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, standards, and guidance.
Education:Education is not required for this grade level. It cannot be used for qualification purposes.
