Job description

The Operations Director will passionately lead our organization’s Operations department. They will ensure all members of the operational leadership team are

meeting their goals each month and will manage the communication process ensuring that all leaders and team members are communicating in a thorough and

effective manner. 

Key Responsibilities:

Innovation & Strategy:

Create a long-term and innovative strategy around the Operations department, its systems, procedures, equipment, and leaders.  Research and stay current with the resources offered by Chick-fil-A or used at other stores.  Work with store supervisors to determine what should be implemented and purchased.

Vision:

Ensure the store is always moving forward and working towards the store vision; actively plan and prepare for the store’s future in monthly, quarterly, and annual increments

Accountability:

Ensure all Supervisors are completing all tasks in the appropriate time and that their “out of operations time” is monitored

Goals:

Ensure all of the store’s goals are being met and problem solve to create solutions if they are not

Development: Meet weekly with all supervisors to problem solve and strategize to meet store goals; meet monthly one-on-one with supervisors to coach, teach, and develop their skills

Reviews:

Perform quarterly reviews with your Supervisors accompanied by the Operating Partner; annual performance review to discuss eligibility for a pay increase; work with the Operating Partner to manage the pay raises and promotions of operational leaders

Maintenance:

Ensure broken equipment is repaired, facilities are damage free and fixed in a timely manner, order necessary parts for the store, and maintain the equipment and repair budget

Vendors:

Keep track of vendors, pricing, and ensure that they are performing all duties up to standard and in the appropriate time frame

Documentation:  Handle any store conflict or discipline issues in regard to operational leaders with HR Director or another 3rd party; document and report properly

Payroll:

Ensure time punches are accurate and ready for the Operating Partner to submit each pay period

Operational Time:

Assist in the store operations minimum 30 hours/week (scheduled time) may vary spending on needs of the business

  • The Operations department continuing to develop its leaders, maintain a positive culture, and consistently reach the store’s goals
  • The Store Directors and Managers flourishing in their roles and demonstrating a high level of engagement

The Operations Director should:

  • Focus on systematically and effectively communicating all management related goals and CEM success factors
  • Combine critical thinking and practical leadership to create a culture of innovation and lead the Operations department to new heights of achievement
  • Enthusiastically and passionately lead the Operations team and support fellow Officers
  • Professionally represent our business in a remarkable manner out in the field, on the phone, and through all correspondence
  • Intentionally build relationships and create enthusiasm with our guests and team through positive interactions
  • Be able to listen to employee and customer comments and solve any issues with a genuine and gracious manner and work to recover all guests and employees
  • Work a minimum of thirty hours per week in the restaurant on shift, allocate ten hours per week to planning and meeting times
