Position Summary

As a Global Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that AX Beauty’s product offerings remain competitive, innovative, and aligned with market demands. As a Global Development Manager you are responsible for overseeing the creation, improvement , and market launch of products. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet  market demands, align with company strategy, and are delivered on time and within budget.


Location: This role is 4-5 days a week at our NYC offices


Position Summary

As a Global Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that AX Beauty’s product offerings remain competitive, innovative, and aligned with market demands. As a Global Development Manager you are responsible for managing the development of AX Beauty’s products from ideation through to market launch of products. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet market demands, align with company strategy, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the development of NatureWell and/or Private Label new products from ideation to launch, ensuring timelines, budget (through COGs) and objectives are met.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all Global Development activities ensure clear communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful product launches and ongoing supply chain operations.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate needs to finished products.
  • Own the management of project plan through Monday.com, identify resource needs, management of project schedules and milestones to ensure on time execution and delivery of product programs
  • Develop and control product documentation - specification sheet creation, package specification, documentation, etc.
  • Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure alignment with the company's quality and sustainability standards.
  • Support new product development by sourcing innovative, best quality, best cost packaging materials.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal timing, pricing and payment terms.
  • Works with suppliers to develop and ensure timely delivery of engineering samples, pre-production samples and production samples
  • Manage the routing of samples, testing, and execution of new packaging materials, in collaboration with primary internal & external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance/regulatory team to establish and maintain product quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to minimize defects and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve supplier performance issues promptly to ensure a seamless supply chain.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Senior Management on program COGS against budget and new product development progress against timeline.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Analyze market trends and work proactively to mitigate potential cost increases.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact sourcing strategies.
  • Attend, participate, and lead in both internal & external business partner meetings.
  • Provide support across additional projects and initiatives as needed


Position Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or a combination of Education and Relevant Experience
  • 4-5 years proven experience in sourcing, product development or project management, preferably with a focus in the beauty industry
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and quality standards
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in time management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities



Salary:  The anticipated base salary is$90-$110k/year.  Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods. Must be able to operate desktop computers, multiple monitors, proprietary software, phones, and standard office equipment. Occasional bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 25 lb.) are required. The ability to effectively listen, understand and communicate by telephone and in person is vital to fulfilling the job’s essential functions.

Work Environment

This is a regular full-time position in an office and/or home office environment. Working overtime may be required to meet the demands and deadlines associated with the position.
