Position Summary
As a Facilities & Farm Operations Associate, you will play a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of our Milford Farm location. This position works across multiple departments and areas of the property, assisting with general farm upkeep, facility maintenance, equipment operation, utility support, warehouse organization, and miscellaneous projects as needed.
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment where no two days are the same. This role involves physical labor, problem-solving, equipment operation, general handyman work, and supporting the overall success of the farm and facility operations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep around the Milford Farm property
  • Support plumbing, utility, and water system maintenance projects
  • Perform general handyman tasks including repairs, assembly, troubleshooting and facility improvements
  • Operate and assist with equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently
  • Load, unload, organize, and transport materials, tools, equipment, and deliveries throughout the property
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse spaces, work areas, greenhouses, storage areas, and outdoor grounds
  • Assist with farm operations, greenhouse projects, koi system maintenance, and miscellaneous property tasks as needed
  • Support construction, maintenance, and improvement projects across the facility
  • Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure proper functionality and organization
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, construction, landscaping, warehouse, farm, utility, or related hands-on labor industries
  • Basic plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or handyman knowledge preferred
  • Forklift or equipment operation experience is a plus
  • Comfortable using power tools, hand tools, and general equipment safely
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 50+ lbs, bending, carrying materials, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
  • Willingness to learn and assist with a wide variety of tasks across the farm and facility
  • Familiarity with ponds, water features, landscaping, koi fish, or aquatic systems is a plus
  • OSHA certification is a plus; candidates without certification must complete OSHA training and become certified during onboarding
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods as needed
