Job description

About 8Fleet

8Fleet is a rapidly growing technology and logistics startup building the operational infrastructure for both autonomous and non-autonomous rideshare fleets. As we expand into new markets, we're looking for a Regional Operations Associate to support the Regional Operations Manager keep multiple markets running smoothly and improving.

About the Role

The Regional Operations Associate supports the Regional Operations Manager in tracking, analyzing, and improving performance across every market in the region. This is a role for someone early in their career who wants real exposure to how a physical operation runs at scale. You'll be in the data, on the calls, and occasionally on-site, helping turn raw numbers into decisions.

You'll spend your time pulling and checking data, building out reports and trackers, and prepping materials for market reviews. But the job doesn't stop at the readout — when a review surfaces an action item, it's yours to drive to done. When the Regional Operations Manager needs a deep dive on a specific market or metric, you're the one who runs it down, and improving that metric is your responsibility, not just reporting on it.

This role is a launching pad. You'll learn to read operational data fluently, understand what actually drives a market's performance, and work cross-functionally with people who don't report to you. Those are the skills that build a career in operations at 8Fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own tracking and moving regional KPIs — driver supply, fleet utilization, labor, safety, and financial performance — for every market in the region.

  • Build, improve, and execute the operating processes that turn data into consistent regional performance — then help deploy what works region-wide.

  • Run first-pass analysis on underperforming markets or metrics, catching inconsistencies and flagging anomalies along the way — then work the problem until it's fixed, not just diagnosed.

  • Prep materials for market performance reviews, and own driving the resulting action items to completion.

  • Take ownership of a specific market, metric, or project as you grow in the role.

  • Build and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reports that give regional and market leadership visibility into how things are going.

  • Document what's working in one market so it can be shared with others, and keep playbooks and SOPs current.

  • Coordinate logistics for market visits, audits, and cross-market initiatives.

Successful Candidates Will Bring
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, analytics, consulting, or a similar fast-paced, data-driven role.

  • Comfort in spreadsheets and a genuine interest in what the numbers are telling you.

  • Strong attention to detail; you catch the thing that's off before it turns into a bigger issue.

  • Clear written and verbal communication; you can explain what you found to someone who wasn't in the weeds with you.

  • A bias toward action and a willingness to figure things out without a playbook already written.

  • Willingness to travel to markets periodically.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Experience with SQL or BI tools is a plus.

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $80,000–$90,000
