Position Description:

The Facility Solutions Associate I role is focused on conducting and delivering process solutions for the delivery and implementation of facility services and operations.

Position Qualifications

  • Possess basic written communications skills and be detail oriented.  
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in professional services, construction, maintenance, and operations contracts.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be able to function as part of a high-performance team.  
  • Working knowledge of facilities operations and building systems.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively in mobile work environment.  
  • Software proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Project, Word, SharePoint).  

Essential Duties

  • Work with technical and subject matter experts to support and prepare process documentation in accordance with company guidelines and philosophies.  
  • Develop written and graphical materials to support the documentation of systems and solutions.  
  • Coordinate with other members of the Solution’s staff.  
  • Determine process based on knowledge, experience, and correspondence with design/engineering firms.   
  • Read and understand plans and specifications. 
  • Researches and collects input from multiple internal and external resources.  
  • Understanding of relationships to the ongoing success of Hensel Phelps. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

  • The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.

  • Walking - the person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office administration.

  • Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas.

  • Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions.

  • The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.

  • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.

  • Rarely exposed to high and low temperatures. 

  • Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
