Our recent growth has led to a new opportunity for a Long-Term Care Reimbursement Manager to help lead one of the Midwest's premier long-term care reimbursement consulting practices. This is more than a cost report preparation role. The successful candidate will partner with experienced reimbursement professionals to provide Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement consulting, lead annual cost report engagements, mentor staff, improve processes through technology and AI, and help shape the future direction of our growing practice.

YOUR ROLE

  • Client Leadership: Manage a portfolio of long-term care reimbursement clients. Serve as the primary client contact throughout the engagement lifecycle. Lead Medicare and Medicaid cost report engagements from planning through submission. Present reimbursement results and recommendations to client leadership. Assist clients with desk reviews, audits, settlements, and reimbursement questions.
  • Technical Leadership: Review Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for technical accuracy. Research reimbursement regulations and complex technical issues. Develop and maintain standardized methodologies and best practices. Support reimbursement projections, financial modeling, and consulting engagements.
  • People & Operations Leadership: Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and deadlines. Coach, mentor, and develop reimbursement professionals. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, technology, and AI-enabled processes.
  • Practice Growth: Identify advisory opportunities for existing clients. Support proposals, presentations, and business development initiatives. Help expand and enhance the firm's reimbursement consulting services.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Minimum of three years of Medicare and/or Medicaid reimbursement experience. Experience preparing and reviewing Medicare cost reports. Prior experience as a Reimbursement Manager, Cost Report Manager, Reimbursement Analyst / Specialist or similar role highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working in multiple systems and learning new technology. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Location: Remote or Omaha/Lincoln, Nebraska (Hybrid or In-Office). Periodic travel for team meetings, client visits, conferences, and industry events as needed.
