Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Cost Estimating Analyst - Level 3 or 4 to join our team in support of multiple programs across the Space Sector. This role can be located in any one of the following locations: Gilbert AZ; Aurora CO; Baltimore MD; Huntsville AL; or, Dulles VA. We will also consider a remote scenario for this role.

This position can be filled at either Level 3 or 4.

Role and Impact:

  • Interpret customer requirements from RFPs and other solicitations.
  • Collect and consolidate cost, schedule, and performance data from functional departments for material and subcontractor items.
  • Select appropriate pricing methods (e.g., purchaseorder history, actuals, quotes) for each proposal item.
  • Apply escalation, quantityvariance, and extendedcost factors to required quantities.
  • Produce consolidated Bills of Material (BOM) to support price and cost analysis.
  • Participate in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
  • Perform data collection, normalization, and analysis across multiple proposals concurrently.
  • Support audits, negotiations, and certifications while ensuring TINA compliance throughout the proposal process.
  • Identify and evaluate risk in BOM cost estimates, terms & conditions, and other businessmanagement functions.
  • Drive pricing/estimating improvements by contributing to new processes, tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 3: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant professional experience - OR - Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering or a related field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Level 4: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering or a related field with 8+ years of relevant professional experience - OR - Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering or a related field with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proven businessmanagement and labor/nonlabor costestimating experience.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to make actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel (including data transformation & normalization).
  • Experience leading projects and/or managing others.
  • Ability to communicate cost issues and risks to senior leadership clearly.
  • Working knowledge of government and commercial contracting/subcontracting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for informing, presenting, negotiating, and problemsolving.
  • Ability to maintain independence while conducting analyses.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with NorthropGrumman Space Systems portfolio (past and present).
  • Aerospaceindustry experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR.
  • Proposal experience within government contracting.
  • Broad knowledge of costestimating methodologies; capable of implementing, modeling, and training others.
  • Practical experience with Artificial Intelligence.

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $141,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
