Autoland is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Director, Business Operations & Performance Analytics to help shape the future of our business through data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and strategic execution.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this role serves as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations that drive revenue growth, profitability, operational effectiveness, and long-term scalability. You'll work across multiple areas of the business-including consumer sales, dealer partnerships, credit union relationships, ancillary products, and emerging digital channels-to uncover opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and help guide strategic priorities.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution and enjoys transforming data into meaningful business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Business Performance & Analytics
  • Analyze performance across consumer sales, dealer partnerships, credit union partnerships, ancillary products, and operational functions.
  • Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers that may not be visible through existing reporting.
  • Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and business intelligence tools that improve organizational visibility and decision-making.
  • Build forecasts, financial models, scenario analyses, and planning tools to support budgeting and strategic initiatives.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives against expected outcomes.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights that support leadership decision-making.

Commercial Strategy & Partner Performance
  • Analyze product performance, pricing strategies, margins, attach rates, customer value, and vendor economics.
  • Develop business cases and performance models that support commercial and strategic decisions.
  • Create partner-facing reporting and insights that help dealer and credit union partners improve performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to assess partnerships, vendor relationships, and growth opportunities.
  • Provide objective recommendations that balance revenue growth, profitability, and long-term value creation.

Operational Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with business leaders to implement process improvements and measure business impact.
  • Establish repeatable processes that strengthen forecasting, reporting, planning, and performance management.
  • Improve visibility into the operational drivers that influence business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives from analysis through implementation.
  • Define objectives, milestones, ownership, and success metrics to support effective execution.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams and help drive accountability for results.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to the CEO and leadership team.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in business operations, strategy & operations, commercial analytics, management consulting, finance, pricing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success using analytics and data-driven insights to improve revenue, profitability, operational performance, or business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario-planning capabilities.
  • Experience developing recommendations related to pricing, products, partnerships, vendors, or other commercial decisions.
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear business recommendations and actionable plans.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions using Power BI or a similar platform.
  • Experience working with CRM, transactional, operational, and financial data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including experience communicating with senior leadership.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, sound business judgment, and a willingness to challenge assumptions with data.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or other data-querying tools.
  • Experience within automotive, financial services, insurance products, marketplaces, consumer services, or other transaction-based businesses.
  • Experience evaluating partner economics and developing performance reporting for external partners.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives, digital product growth, or new revenue channel development.
  • Previous experience in a startup, growth-stage company, or similarly fast-paced environment requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Who Will Thrive in This Role
You may be an excellent fit if you are:
  • Naturally curious and highly analytical.
  • Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity and imperfect information.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution.
