POSITION PURPOSE
The Banking Operations & Administration Coordinator II is an intermediate-level role within the Banking Operations team, responsible for supporting daily deposit operations, electronic banking services, and member-facing products. This position handles a broad range of operational functions, including ACH processing, debit card support, online banking services, and regulatory reporting.
The Banking Operations & Administration Coordinator II provides support to both internal teams and members, including business members, by assisting with product service, research, and issue resolution. This role also contributes to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting fraud mitigation efforts, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
The Banking Operations & Administration Coordinator II operates with a moderate level of independence and serves as a key resource within the team, while escalating more complex issues as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Member & Business Support
  • Provide support to internal and external members for deposit-related products and services, including ACH, wires, debit cards, and digital banking.
  • Assist business members with servicing needs related to products such as ACH Manager, Positive Pay, and online business banking.
  • Respond to member inquiries and service requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution within established service levels.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues as appropriate.

Deposit Operations
  • Perform daily operational functions, including ACH processing, returned items, wire transfers, and account maintenance.
  • Support debit card services, including transaction inquiries, dispute processing, and fraud claim intake in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist with electronic banking support, including bill pay, eStatements, and external transfers.
  • Perform maintenance and support for deposit accounts, including IRAs and certificates.

Risk, Fraud & Compliance
  • Follow established procedures for fraud detection, dispute handling, and exception processing.
  • Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies, federal and state regulations, and network rules.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting requirements, including abandoned property and tax reporting.
  • Support audit requests by gathering documentation and maintaining accurate records.

Reporting & Process Support
  • Generate routine operational and departmental reports.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support system updates, testing, and implementation efforts as needed.
  • Maintain and follow documented procedures for all assigned responsibilities.

Team Support & Development
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure coverage and completion of daily tasks.
  • Provide guidance and support to Deposit Support Analyst I staff as needed.
  • Participate in training, webinars, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain effective working relationships across departments.

Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in deposit operations, banking operations, or related area. Experience with electronic banking and member support preferred.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Working knowledge of deposit operations and electronic banking services.
  • Familiarity with ACH processing and basic NACHA rules.
  • Understanding of fraud prevention and dispute handling processes.
