Position Summary
Adaptive Construction Solutions (ACS) is seeking a DevOps & Database Administrator to support the Azure cloud infrastructure, SQL Server environments, and software delivery processes behind the ACS family of compliance applications. This role will work closely with software developers and internal stakeholders to maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud environments while supporting application deployments, database administration, cybersecurity initiatives, and infrastructure operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, GitHub, PowerShell, and cloud security best practices, along with the ability to support both infrastructure operations and software development initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Manage Azure cloud infrastructure supporting development, testing, and production environments.
  • Serve as the primary database administrator and cloud infrastructure operator in coordination with the software development team.
  • Manage licensing, subscriptions, and billing for SaaS and IaaS products utilized by the development team.
  • Collaborate with software developers and internal stakeholders to support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of custom software applications.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, backup integrity, and security posture.
  • Respond to infrastructure incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Develop, implement, document, and enforce cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity policies and procedures.
  • Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments, including backups, maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support application deployment processes and source control workflows utilizing GitHub.
  • Produce technical documentation and client-facing cybersecurity documentation.
  • Support data integration initiatives and technical projects as required.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding cloud infrastructure, licensing, and technology services.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, technical certification, military experience, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • 4-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration, systems administration, DevOps support, database administration, or a related technical role; or 6-10 years of relevant experience without a college degree.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • GitHub
    • PowerShell
  • Experience supporting .NET web applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and manage priorities across several projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or similar).
  • Microsoft SQL Server certifications.
  • Experience supporting SaaS applications.
