Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 per year


Job Overview

Our client, an established, regional renewable energy company, is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s core accounting operations. This is a full-time role with our client.


Job Responsibilities

  • Core Accounting Operations: Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the month-end close process, execute general ledger reconciliations, and prepare internal financial statements.
  • Project Accounting: Support field teams through detailed project accounting, including job costing, Work-In-Progress (WIP) analysis, and percent-complete revenue recognition.
  • Cash & Expense Management: Oversee daily cash reporting, reconcile bank accounts, provide monthly cash flow forecasts, and manage the company’s bank card and fuel card programs.
  • Compliance & Tax: Maintain corporate business licenses across all locations and accurately prepare, report, and file monthly sales and consumer use taxes.
  • Team & Cross-Functional Leadership: Supervise and train accounting staff, and partner with the internal teams to understand workflows and implement process improvements.


Successful Candidates Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including AP, AR, general ledger reconciliations, cash reporting, cash flow forecasting, and licensure
  • Experience managing finance and accounting personnel
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, job costing principles, and percent-complete revenue methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • A CPA license or CMA certification is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel
