Job description

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead key accounting functions and supervise a small team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in larger, complex organizations and a strong technical accounting background. The Accounting Manager will oversee critical processes including month-end close, general ledger management, and financial analysis across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review and approve journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Supervise and mentor a team of 2 accounting staff members
  • Handle and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and investigate/resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data across entities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial reporting and operational initiatives
  • Assist with audit support and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Prior supervisory experience required
  • Experience working in a large company environment with complex transactions
  • Strong background in multi-entity accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis)
