Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for 1st Choice Delivery. This position oversees daily accounting operations, manages the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and provides leadership and development to the accounting team.


Working closely with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Operations, Treasury, and executive leadership, this role helps maintain U.S. GAAP compliance, strengthen internal controls, and support financial and operational decision-making. Responsibilities also include contributing to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and acquisitions.


In addition, the position plays a key role in 1st Choice Delivery’s transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite and drives ongoing improvements to accounting systems, reporting, and workflows.


Essential Duties and Key Deliverables:

  • Lead daily accounting operations for 1st Choice Delivery, ensuring accurate records and compliance with Company policies and U.S. GAAP
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and deliver timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff supporting billing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and general accounting
  • Support 1st Choice Delivery's conversion from QuickBooks to NetSuite, including design, testing, implementation, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Review general ledger activity, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounting policies, standard operating procedures, and reporting workflows
  • Analyze financial statements and variances; partner across departments on budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making
  • Monitor accounts receivable, collections, cash flow, treasury activities, and working capital; take appropriate action on past-due balances
  • Coordinate audit and tax preparation support and integrate financial reporting for newly acquired companies


Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience in an accounting or finance environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and demonstrated experience leading financial close and reporting processes
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical, actionable recommendations
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative customer-service mindset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the accuracy, discretion, and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines

 

Preferred Experience:

  • NetSuite experience
  • Experience with ERP implementations, accounting system conversions, or process improvement initiatives
  • CPA designation, active or inactive
  • Master's degree in accounting or an MBA


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position supervises accounting staff responsible for billing, accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, and general accounting functions.


Position Type:

This is a full-time position; hours are typically Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., averaging 40-45 hours per week. Additional hours may be required during close, audits, system implementations, or as workload requires.


Travel:

This position may require occasional travel.

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, phones, and other job-related tools or systems. The team member may be required to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer and communicating with internal and external business partners.
