Overview
In concert with Vice President of Organizational Development and the Director of Training and Development, manages the timely and effective delivery of all classroom and field-based training for all company products, systems, sales, operations, and corporate training. Responsible for needs assessment, development, and enhancement of new and existing training programs that consistently meet the goals of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Works, in conjunction with Training Center Director to direct the outputs of Training and Development Center employees including trainers, instructional and/or web designers, project managers, publishers, and administrative support.
  • Manages, develops, and directs all staff involved in the delivery of all company product, systems, sales, operations, and corporate training.
  • Works in conjunction with the Director of Training and Development to recruit and interview new training managers.
  • Actively contributes to the coaching and development of other training managers.
  • Manages the quality of the programs and products produced for training within the budget framework.
  • Works with the Director of Training and Development to review and evaluate initial budget plans from all training functional areas, compare to expectations, and re-develop overall operating budget plans to meet company expectations.
  • Proactively meets with Senior and Executive Management to determine training needs for all business units.
  • Provides leadership in the evaluation of alternative development and training solutions, including evaluation of external resources, internal program development, and program implementation.
  • Consults and oversees the design of new training programs.
  • Researches learning and development methods that lead to greater effectiveness and retention in employees' knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Provides support to business unit managers attempting to lead process improvement and productivity gains in their areas of responsibility.
  • Facilitates organizational effectiveness strategies that improve business performance, organizational systems, and staff relationships within and across business units.
  • Maintain contacts with other companies, training organizations, college/school systems, and associations for the purpose of keeping abreast of new training developments and courses.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree - Required
  • 5 years of experience in management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Training experience.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $104,500-$164,100 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
