ALA - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Alabama)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
Responsible for receiving all raw materials, sub-components, components, purchased devices, packaging material, components returning from outsourced vendors, and all other inventory items which go into Orchid Orthopedic Solutions (Orchid) manufactured product. Responsible for pulling finished components and issuing them to shop work orders. Responsible for sawing raw materials and delivering to specified production areas. Must be able to generate and maintain data from the control of documentation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
  • Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
  • Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
  • Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
  • Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
  • Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
  • Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
  • Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.

  • Review packing slips for accuracy against the original purchase order and physical count.
  • Proficient use of the production management database system as it applies to cp crib, raw material, receiving, and shipping scripts.
  • Communicate nonconformance to Quality Control.
  • Assure part identification as part of receipt function.
  • Creating and release SWOs per GYRO and Work To List
