Job Overview:
As an intern within the FAR (Foundational Analyst Rotational) Program, participants will join us for a paid, ten-week summer internship supporting one of our risk management, operations, compliance, or fraud teams. The internship experience includes networking, relevant work assignments, group projects, social and wellness events, mentorship, and other informative learning sessions with key leaders. Our programming is designed to provide students with a blend of business and professional developmental opportunities that incorporates real-world experiences.
The FAR Program assigns interns to a position supporting one of LPL's core risk, operations, or compliance teams based on your skillset, interests, and business needs. Please note: this is not a rotational internship. You will work on one team for the internship duration. Potential internship teams include, but are not limited to:
  • Cash Management
  • Compliance
  • Enterprise Risk
  • Fraud Operations
  • Tech Risk
  • Trading

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • 3.0 GPA minimum.
  • Offer is contingent upon completion of bachelor's degree, successful background screening, and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill/Charlotte office.

Preferences:
  • All majors are considered, but programs focusing in business, psychology, risk management, or compliance are preferred.
  • GPA of 3.3 or higher.
  • Exposure to financial operations processes, service level agreements, customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership experience through student organizations, internships, or projects.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 platforms.
  • Effective communication, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.

Summer 2027 Internship Schedule:
  • Full - time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2027; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours.
  • Internship dates: 6/1/2027 - 8/6/2027
