To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com The Senior Analyst, US Operational Risk Management, supports the execution, reporting, and continuous enhancement of the US Operational Risk Management program. This role is intended to provide broad exposure across US ORM through a combination of recurring accountabilities and project-based assignments supporting multiple ORM teams. The role will help build foundational operational risk management knowledge across areas such as portfolio management, risk assessments, program governance, change management, control testing, reporting and analytics, third party risk management, business continuity, operational resilience, cyber risk, data risk, fraud risk, and physical security risk management. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. The scope of this mandate includes all Combined US Operations including Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Private Wealth, Private, Personal, and Digital Banking, Capital Markets, and supporting infrastructure teams including US Chief Administrative Office & Technology, Data, and AI.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support recurring US ORM program execution activities, including RCSA program reporting, operational loss metrics and related management reporting.
  • Participate in operational risk assessments and related program activities by gathering data, preparing materials, documenting outcomes, tracking follow-ups, and supporting timely execution.
  • Contribute to project-based assignments across US ORM teams based on business needs, providing the analyst with exposure to different aspects of the operational risk program.
  • Support the development and maintenance of program materials, guidance, procedures, job aids, meeting materials, and training or change management content.
  • Build knowledge of CIBC’s US operational risk framework, risk culture, governance practices, and applicable program requirements while developing the skills necessary to progress within US ORM.

We offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $83,000 - $95,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.

The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
