Department OverviewThe Global Web Experience & Digital Infrastructure team is responsible for the platforms, tools, and programmes that power the digital experience across the entire organisation. From the website and content platforms to marketing technology, integrations, and international digital presence, the team builds and runs the digital surface that the business depends on.
We are a team with high standards, a strong bias toward ownership, and a culture of getting things done. We work across a broad and evolving portfolio that spans web and digital experience, platform and technology delivery, and cross-functional marketing and operations initiatives.
Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional programs across a global organization. This is a hands-on delivery role at its core, with responsibilities for team leadership and support.

This person sits at the intersection of technology and delivery, someone with genuine technical depth and the program management discipline to drive large, multi-workstream initiatives to completion. You do not need to be a developer, but you must be technically credible. You should be able to engage confidently with engineering and technology teams, understand platform and systems decisions, and translate complexity into clear plans, priorities, and stakeholder communication.

Program Leadership
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs spanning multiple teams, departments, vendors, and stakeholders, including web and digital experience, platform migrations, and technology initiatives

  • Maintain oversight of the program portfolio, tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and resourcing across parallel initiatives

  • Establish structured delivery governance: planning cycles, milestone reviews, risk escalation, and executive reporting

  • Ensure programs are delivered on time, in scope, and to a high standard, stepping in to resolve blockers and realign when needed

  • Provide clear, concise reporting that keeps senior leadership informed at the right level of detail

  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, helping them grow and contributing to overall delivery capacity

Technical Coordination
  • Translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders, understanding what engineering and platform teams are building and communicating it clearly to the business

  • Oversee technical scoping for new initiatives, ensuring requirements, dependencies, and estimates are well-defined before delivery begins

  • Maintain awareness of how web platforms, digital experience tools, enterprise systems, and integrations connect across the technology landscape

  • Oversee quality, UAT coordination, and go-live readiness across all active programs

  • Guide technical decision-making, ensuring the right people are involved and outcomes are clearly documented

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across technology, marketing, operations, and the wider business to align on scope, priorities, and delivery expectations

  • Manage stakeholder communication proactively, ensuring alignment before decisions are taken to wider audiences

  • Build strong relationships across departments and coordinate external partners, agencies, and vendors as part of program delivery

  • Navigate competing priorities across teams with different objectives, finding pragmatic paths forward without losing momentum

Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years in technical program or delivery management

  • Program delivery: a proven track record leading and delivering complex, cross-functional programs across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups, ideally including digital, web, or platform migration initiatives

  • Technical collaboration: a track record of working alongside engineering or technology teams, with hands-on involvement in technical planning and decision-making

  • Operating at scale: experience managing delivery across large, matrixed organizations where teams have different priorities and ways of working

  • Vendor and partner management: experience coordinating external partners, agencies, or vendors as part of broader delivery programs

Technical Knowledge, Required
  • Digital platform literacy: a solid understanding of how modern digital platforms and enterprise systems connect, covering APIs, integrations, content delivery, CRM, and marketing technology, sufficient to plan, oversee, and troubleshoot without building

  • Web and CMS familiarity: a working familiarity with web and content management platforms, including how websites are built, how content workflows operate, and how migrations and deployments are run.

  • Technical comprehension: the ability to read and interpret technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and system requirements, and translate them into delivery plans

  • Delivery tooling: strong command of program and project management tooling, with the discipline to keep delivery data accurate and useful

  • AI fluency: a strong working knowledge of how AI is changing delivery, with hands-on experience using AI tools to plan, draft, analyze, and accelerate work, and an understanding of how teams are starting to embed AI into technical and content workflows

Technical Knowledge, Advantageous
  • Familiarity with headless CMS platforms, modern web frameworks, or API-driven architecture

  • Experience with AI-assisted development or content workflows, such as AI agents, design-to-code pipelines, or automation tooling

  • Understanding of SEO, web performance, and digital measurement

  • Background in agile, SAFe, or other structured delivery frameworks at scale
