The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all daily manufacturing operations. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure operational excellence, on-time delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager drives performance across production, workforce development, and process efficiency while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and quality.

Requirements:
  • Provide leadership and direction to production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer specifications, and all applicable regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Oversee daily operations including production scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and team leads to strengthen leadership capability and succession planning
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, process standardization)
  • Implement and maintain effective training programs to ensure workforce competency and adaptability to process changes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to support operational goals
  • Ensure effective communication across shifts and departments to maintain alignment and operational continuity
  • Represent the organization professionally with customers, auditors, and external stakeholders as required
  • Lead by example in demonstrating company values, ethical standards, and commitment to excellence


Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience in a precision manufacturing environment)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in aerospace, defense, power generation or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and achieve measurable results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization
  • Experience in production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated experience navigating OEM requirements, particularly as they relate to the manufacturing and quality standards for engine components.
