WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Supervise and dispatch mover/driver teams daily; coordinate employee scheduling and truck assignments
  • Complete various dispatch duties, including: performance audits during moves to ensure safety and customer satisfaction, vehicle inspections, and paperwork audits
  • Lead by example in performance, attitude, attendance and work ethic; responsible for team development and motivation
  • Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, and oversee new employee onboarding and training
  • Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory; ensure trucks and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and professional manner
  • Promote safety and uphold safety procedures and policies; ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines
  • Responsible for employee development, accountability and corrective action programs
  • Responsible for being an “on-call” emergency contact outside of normal business hours
  • Acts as a point of contact for new and existing customers to establish a rapport and build confidence in TWO MEN AND A TRUCK services
  • Asks open-ended, probing questions to determine customer requirements and expectations
  • Directly and accurately inputs information in to “Movers Who Care®” software to estimate cost for customers, as well as scheduling needs for movers, drivers and trucks
  • Makes recommendations according to customer's needs on moving services, boxes, supplies and equipment and other value-added services; may recommend alternate services and/or products based on cost, availability or customer specifications
  • Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Performs a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
  • All other duties as assigned
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
  • Management, business, or other relevant experience is required
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and random drug screens
  • Must be willing to work Saturday’s and one Sunday a month
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop and direct people
  • Ability to assess the performance of self, employees and franchise to make improvements or take corrective action
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Basic truck/vehicle knowledge
  • Experience in the fields of general labor, management, non-CDL transportation, landscaping, construction, project management, logistics, production, manufacturing, assembly, factory or warehouse helpful
