About the Role
The Operations Manager will help move the operations team forward using sound management techniques and create an environment of success and positive reinforcement. Helping teams succeed in their daily tasks and ensuring timely delivery of services while maintaining a constant focus on safety are of paramount importance to the Operations Manager role.
Pay: $70,000 - $80,000
Location: Burnsville, MN
Primary Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations Support
  • Daily Dispatch Coordination: Support daily operations by ensuring drivers and monitors are prepared with routes, student information, and vehicle assignments.
  • Coaching & Development: Provide real-time, constructive feedback and ongoing coaching to reinforce safe driving practices and compliance with MN DOT, FMCSA, and FTA regulations.
  • Training & Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new hires and lead training sessions on safety procedures, technology systems, and operational expectations.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive, people-first work environment through recognition, open communication, and support.
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as a trusted resource for employee concerns, encouraging transparency, collaboration, and solutions-oriented outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years in transportation, logistics, or operations.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience supporting frontline teams.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with CDL requirements and DOT safety regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and training sessions.
  • Technology Skills: Comfortable using dispatch systems, GPS platforms, and workforce management tools.
