The Community Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of MetaFilter's volunteer moderation program and volunteer community infrastructure. The role serves as the primary operational link between the Board of Directors, volunteer moderators, volunteer committees, contractors, and the wider MetaFilter community.
The Community Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that MetaFilter's moderation, volunteer, and community support systems operate effectively, consistently, and transparently. The role combines volunteer management, operational coordination, community stewardship, and continuous improvement to support a healthy and sustainable online community.
