Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee our cleaning operations at our projects at IAD and DCA airports. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient management, logistics, and team performance within our projects. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of cleaning processes, making it essential to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Lounges, ensuring compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Availability of time, need for day and night supervision, based on monthly scheduling.
  • Project a favorable image of ARGO Group to promote its mission, vision and objectives to encourage and enhance public recognition and acceptance in all its areas of action.
  • Keep the operational manager and administrative area informed in a timely and complete manner of all problems or unusual issues of importance and take immediate corrective action when necessary and suggest alternative action steps that can be taken.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee team management, including the training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of cleaning staff.
  • Ensure proper material handling techniques are followed to maintain safety standards during work hours.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and communication among staff.
  • Direct and/or participate in meetings.
  • Make regular visits to work sites to monitor the quality of services provided and ensure that established cleaning standards are met.
  • Ensure that the appropriate equipment, cleaning materials and supplies necessary to perform tasks are available.
  • Manage inventories of cleaning products and equipment and replacement of clean towels, ensuring that there are always enough materials and that they are kept in good condition.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional airport and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking and seating.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the schedule varies (due to operation 24/7) depending on the operation needs and demands. Requires working on weekends and holidays, if needed.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

1. As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation.

2. Computer literacy in MS Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

3. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish) is required.

4. Maintain a relationship with both employees and clients

5. Must have a good working knowledge of management practices and principles so they can efficiently perform his job.

6. The job requires someone with critical thinking skills who can quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.

Security Clearance (if applicable)

Must be eligible to pass the criminal background check to obtain the airport ID.
