Job description

ERP Functional Analyst

Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Competitive Salary

*This position is not eligible for remote work*

At Midland Garage Door, we are expanding our IT team to support our next generation digital roadmap that's transforming how we operate. From modernizing our core business systems to integrating smart data solutions across our plants and revamping our online sales capabilities, we're building the tools that power the future state of the organization.

As an ERP Functional Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping that journey. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and operations leaders to translate business needs into effective system configurations and processes — and you'll have real ownership over the systems you support. If you're excited by the idea of joining a growing team with a bold technical vision, we'd love to hear from you.

Summary:

As an ERP Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and continuously improving our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to meet the evolving needs of the business. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into system solutions, leveraging best practices in process design, configuration, and change management. This will be primarily focused on supporting core business functions such as manufacturing, order management, inventory, and finance. These capabilities span many different departments across the organization.

This is an individual contributor role, and it will require an in‑person presence in the office to successfully deliver core job responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Configure, maintain, and support ERP modules to align with business processes and requirements
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for end‑user questions, issues, and enhancement requests related to the ERP system
  3. Diagnose and resolve system issues, escalating to vendor support or technical resources as needed
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
  5. Design and deliver reports and queries to support business decision‑making
  6. Participate in system upgrades, patches, and testing cycles to ensure business continuity
  7. Train end users on system functionality and best practices
  8. Stay current with ERP vendor updates and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain effective and competitive
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity and workflow issues within the ERP system
Planning
  1. Participate in the development of business planning, metrics, and objective prioritization in collaboration with departments across the organization
  2. Participate in the development and maintenance of project backlogs — including definition, documentation, and prioritization — to support the body of work needed for IT delivery
  3. Understand corporate goals and balance those metrics and directives in the technology planning process
Systems Integration & Support
  1. Support integrations between the ERP system and other business applications (e.g., CRM, analytics, e‑commerce platforms)
  2. Monitor and document system performance in relation to business and user needs
  3. Hands‑on activities around the design, implementation, testing, documentation, roll‑out, and adoption of systems changes including ERP, Analytics, and CRM
  4. Provide as‑needed support for daily operations of the business through various systems based on areas of expertise
  5. Be a trusted advisor on system capabilities and processes so that implementation plans are aligned to minimize customizations to core systems while achieving an optimized outcome
  6. Participate in review, analysis, and selection of new technologies and tools to better achieve business goals
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, with 3+ years of experience supporting an ERP system in a functional or business analyst capacity
  • Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system configurations or process improvements
  • Strong understanding of core business processes such as manufacturing, order management, inventory, or finance
  • Experience writing and interpreting reports or queries to support business needs
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience working with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with SQL or other query languages
  • Experience with business intelligence or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
