Accounting Manager will oversee the budget and finances of management services and the corporation. The role will assure all appropriate work necessary is performed accurately and on time to ensure proper completion of financial statements and tax returns.

  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Responsible for Avalara Administration, State Tax Regulations, Property Tax Returns, US Audit Disclosures, Tax Schedules, etc.
  • Assist with the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to the US Controller.
  • Provides financial analysis to support manufacturing and distribution operational performance, inventory management, capital investments, and commercial decisions.
  • Reviews monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and analysis of income statement accounts for missing or miscoded transactions.
  • Responsible for answering questions and coordinating monthly branch manager meetings.
  • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
  • Ensures adequate training needs are followed through and promotes a fostering work environment to retain employees.
  • Other duties can be assigned based on company needs and employee capabilities.
