We are looking for an experienced Operational Accountant to monitor financial data and prepare accurate statements for our company with Finance Manager. Operational Accountant responsibilities include F&B cost calculations, accounts receivable and accounts payable management and performing internal audits. You will act as a consultant for senior restaurant managers, conducting cost and revenue analyses. To be qualified for this role, you should have a degree in accounting or a relevant field and relevant work experience. Ultimately, you will ensure about the F&B cost calculations and AR-AP control.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven work experience as an Operational Accountant or similar role
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel Accounting software
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
  • Additional certification (eg, CPA) is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Large-scale fine dining restaurant background strongly preferred.
  • Excellent follow-up, organization, communication, and accountability.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Culinary, Beverage, Operations, and vendors.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.
  • Toast POS system and StockTake Inventory Software experience preferred.

What will you work on?

  • Monitor daily sales, cash reconciliation, credit card batches, and deposits and petty cash (overseeing the cashier team and assisting them)
  • Working closely with outsource accounting team (Paperchase) to finalize the weekly and monthly reports
  • Oversee weekly food inventory and biweekly beverage inventory counts, checking variances.
  • Monitor food, beverage, and operating supply costs using StockTake Inventory Software
  • Analyze purchasing trends and inventory turnover
  • Review purchase orders and vendor invoices, negotiate and look for better pricing option
  • Assist with system implementations and operational process improvements if necessary
  • Work closely with operation managers to improve operational efficiency in terms of menu price, recipes, Pos updates etc.
  • Assist with month end closing procedures and financial reporting
  • Review and approve accounts payable invoices
