Job description

Job Summary:
360 IT Professionals Inc. is seeking an IT Automation Manager to lead a team focused on developing and managing automated processes for cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance service delivery through automation, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and fostering a DevOps culture.
Responsibilities:
• Be the Center of Excellence within O&S for DevOps practices.
• Be a Thought Leader in the design and implementation of strategies for migration of on-premise applications and infrastructure to AWS.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure provisioning end-user UIs and backend code in both on-premise and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain automated Configuration Management and Auditing processes via Ansible Playbooks, and act in a consultative role to infrastructure teams doing playbook development.
• Work with development teams to refine and improve CI/CD and Automated Deployment processes, including migrating legacy applications to automated deployment frameworks.
• Maintain and administrator the DevOps toolset; monitor the DevOps tools and best practices landscape to identify areas of interest to our client.
• Own the governance framework for Automation Team processes.
• Define and maintain the O&S Automation/DevOps roadmap.
• Identify, track and report on key metrics indicating Automation/DevOps effectiveness.
• Capture, categorize and prioritize Automation Team Requests using JIRA and Confluence.
• The Automation team is not a team of systems administrators, and does not have operational responsibility to provision infrastructure or deploy applications; they are responsible for the development and management of the tools, platforms and interfaces that support these activities.
• The successful candidate will be a creative, questioning, focused, critical thinker with a passion for finding better ways to do things and little concern for the status quo, able to communicate persuasively and professionally with technical and non-technical partners including senior and executive management.
• He/she will drive initiatives in infrastructure, platform and application deployment, management and configuration auditing and any other areas where automation can yield improved service delivery.
• This will require both traditional and Agile project management disciplines as well as strong team management skills.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Prior AWS Cloud migration experience in a large enterprise.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Self motivated with strong project and people management skills.
• Good understanding ITIL practices & other standard IT practices/procedures, particularly as they relate to the cloud.
• Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of the relevant technologies – AWS EC2, CICD pipeline tools, XLDeploy, Ansible, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Preferred:
• Certification in any relevant technologies is a plus.
