Our client is seeking a CONTRACT Based Senior Associate, Team Lead - Fraud Risk Oversight to support and coordinate fraud risk oversight activities related to their fintech partner programs. This role sits within the Risk organization and focuses on execution, analysis, documentation, and coordination of fraud oversight activities in environments through partnership between our client and its Program Partners.
The Team Lead designation applies solely to Fraud Risk Oversight activities and reflects responsibility for coordinating oversight work and deliverables within that function; it does not have people management authority over, or provide direction, manage staff, conduct performance reviews, assign investigative work, or direct activities over, Fraud Operations & Investigations, Fraud Strategy, or other teams.
The position reports to Fraud Management.
  • Execute fraud risk oversight activities across assigned fintech partner programs
  • Monitor fraud trends, typologies, and emerging risks to support oversight assessments
  • Support partner risk reviews, ongoing monitoring, and periodic assessments under established frameworks
  • Ensure oversight activities are performed in accordance with internal policies, partner agreements, and regulatory expectations
  • Document fraud risk observations, issues, and themes clearly and consistently
  • Oversight Coordination ("Team Lead" Scope)
  • Coordinate fraud risk oversight work items and deliverables within the Fraud Risk Oversight function
  • Serve as a point of coordination for oversight-related information gathering and documentation
  • Assist Fraud Management by organizing inputs, tracking follow-ups, and supporting timely completion of oversight activities
  • Provide guidance within the Fraud Risk Oversight function regarding documentation standards, analysis expectations, and oversight processes

Partner & Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with partner fraud and compliance teams to request information, data, and investigation outcomes
  • Support escalation of fraud risks and issues through established management and governance channels
  • Facilitate communication between Fraud Risk Oversight and Fraud Management, and other internal
  • stakeholders
  • Prepare summaries and materials to support management discussions with partners

Escalations, Reporting & Governance Support

  • Support review of higher-risk or complex fraud events by gathering facts and documenting risk considerations
  • Prepare analysis and summaries appropriate for management reporting, committee, audit, and regulatory exam audiences
  • Contribute to fraud risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting under management direction
  • Ensure identified risks are escalated appropriately and in line with internal procedures

Process & Program Support

  • Assist in maintaining Fraud Risk Oversight procedures and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve oversight consistency, documentation quality, and workflow efficiency
  • Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives related to fraud typologies and partner oversight
  • Working knowledge of fraud risk management, AML concepts, and financial crime typologies
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Clear, concise written communication skills for risk summaries and reporting
  • Ability to operate effectively in partner-dependent oversight environments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate within defined authority and escalation frameworks
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in fraud risk, AML, compliance, and/or financial crime analysis
  • Experience supporting audits, exams, or risk assessments is a plus
  • CAMS, CFE, or similar certification preferred
