Job description

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Operations Support Technician for the Unmanned Maritime Systems Support (UMSS) effort. This program will entail support of the Expeditionary Unmanned Systems (ExUS) project, unmanned equipment development and testing and logistics support for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC).  

This position is contingent upon award news, expected September 2026. This position is on site at the NIWC Pacific Bayside facility in San Diego, CA.

The Logistics Operations Support Technician will provide logistics support to track, manage, and maintain inventories of developmental, prototype, Fleet, and test and evaluation (T&E) support equipment and spare parts used in research, development, integration, and testing activities at NIWC Pacific.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma

Required Security Clearance:

  • Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience coordinating material shipments
  • Experience maintaining spare parts inventories
  • Experience with using an inventory and parts management software system
  • Eligible for Forklift certification in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR Subpart N 1910.178 requirements
